Meet the Team

We have a growing team of highly specialised Cardiac Physiologists,
Radiographers and Nurses. All Echocardiographer’s hold full adult
BSE accreditation with years of experience. Even our management
team below have extensive clinical skills!

Colin Nicholson

Founder & Managing Director

Colin has over 20 years of experience as a Radiographer with specific expertise in Echocardiography including complex congenital heart defects. He is the founder and director of Contact Health Ltd.

Following a progressive and rewarding career that took him around the World Colin founded Contact Health with the aim to improve patient pathways and outcomes across the health sector.

Abbie Nicholson

Operations Manager

Abbie started her career as a healthcare assistant in 2002. Progressing into Radiography and then specialising in Medical Ultrasound. She holds a first-class BSc (Hons) in Radiography along with a Post Graduate Certificate in General Abdominal Ultrasound and Gynaecology.

She has previous experience in office systems, customer relations and management systems. Holding a mental health first aid title and well-being advocate, Abbie’s interpersonal skills are a great asset to the company.

Neil Powell

Clinical Service Manager

Neil has been a registered mental health nurse for over 35 years and has held senior managerial positions in both the NHS and Independent sectors including as a registered manager for both Health Inspectorate Wales and the Care Quality Commission.

Neil’s career has included working for the Care Quality Commission as a Senior Assessment Manager and a Trustee of the South Gwent Children’s Foundation, Serennu, and Chairman of Torfaen Community Health Council.
